blog v2 + where i've been

version 2 of the blog is finally out! i've been trying to rework certain pages on this site for a few weeks, and i only recently found a few new layouts that fit.

there's been a few things that got in the way of this site's development for a while. the main big things are:

i was sick on-and-off through late september and early october. thought it was just a nasty random infection the first two times around. wrong! i had a uti and after it spread to my kidneys i had to be hospitalized. fortunately the stay wasn't bad and i felt a lot better after getting treated.

i applied for uni recently and got accepted! since i'll be starting next semester i've been working on other preparations as well.

everything else aside i've just been demotivated and uninspired to work on the site much, so i've mainly been indulging in my other hobbies.

anyways i told myself the next site update would be a major overhaul, but i'm way too impatient to actually commit to doing that so i decided i'd post the new landing, homepage, and journal layouts as they are now. i do want to upgrade them and work on other pages before i start college but honestly i can't guarantee anything. i'll probably go back to updating the site as i usually do unless something clicks in my brain sometime soon.
